Man of the Steppe

Wang Hui

 

Born and raised in Manchuria, North-Eastern China during the Cultural Revolution, Wang Hui studied fashion design at college in Liaoning Province. She moved to London in the early noughties and became a naturalised British citizen. During her time in London design became sketch, and following her move to Hong Kong in 2006 her sketching has developed into illustration in a realism style. Wang primarily works in graphite, charcoal and pastels, and occasionally watercolours.
